The summer is a great time to reflect on what went well and what didn’t over the last school year. What could you do differently to extend the thinking of your students? Dr. Ruben Puentedura has designed a model to help educators reflect and integrate technology in more rigorous and relevant ways to redefine learning for students. In this session, participants will become familiar with Dr. Ruben Puentedura’s SAMR Model and see examples of utilizing Schoology at each level. Participants will also be challenged to let their creative sides run wild as they develop a plan to Modify and Redefine some of their current Schoology lessons or build new ones.

Session Objectives:
1) Evaluate lessons and determine what level they align to in the SAMR Technology Integration model.
2) Create authentic, engaging activities and assessments that are aligned to the SAMR Model.
3) Redesign Schoology course materials in order to reach the Modification and Redefinition levels in the SAMR Model.
4) Enhance your list of sites, software packages, and apps that support various curricular objectives.
