What...an LMS is NOT Just for Students? ….That’s right! Learn how our district has leveraged an LMS well beyond an LMS for students. We use it as a means to connect, collaborate, deliver PD, communicate...and so much more! It’s transforming how we teach, learn, and lead in Colonial. Participants will get an overview of how it’s being used and discuss ways to bring those approaches to life in their schools and districts.
Session Objectives: Attendees will walk away from this session with new ways of how they can leverage an LMS in their district beyond using it with students. They will learn how it can be used in the following ways: 1) Content Repository/Unit Planning; 2) Collaboration/Communication Tool; 3) Digital Guide for an Evaluation System; 4) Professional Learning Tool; & Internal Social Media Platform

Tara Amsterdam Instructional Technology Coach Colonial School District
Tara Amsterdam worked as an elementary teacher for over 15 years before being promoted to the district instructional technology coach. She has been recognized at the state level for her teaching excellence and is a Schoology Ambassador.
